Introduction :
A screw jack is a type of jack that is
operated by turning a lead screw.
It
is used to lift a car or heavy vehicles, it is based on a principle similar
to
that of an inclined plane.
Objective:
The objective of this project is to
design and building model of a mechanical
Screw jack, so that uniform motion
among various parts is possible.
Design
specifications & constraints:
· This screw jack can carry and lift a
load of 5kg
· Weight of the screw jack is 1kg.
· The demand of all screw jack parts is
on the rise owing to the growth of industries.
· Load capacity is limited by physical
constraints.
· Limited by maximum operating
temperature i-e (200 *F).
· Maximum speed to be limited to 80%.
· The safety factor for this screw jack
is 3-4
